Greg CurdaGreg Curda is a Hollywood veteran sound mixer whose credits include 75 feature films.
He has received 12 Golden Reel nominations, three Academy Award nominations, and one team Oscar for Sound Effects on Hunt For Red October.
Greg maintains strategic alliances with award-winning Hollywood craftspeople, producers, and consultants and is currently on assignment with Bigfoot Studios and the International Academy of Film and Television.

 

James SieczkaJames Sieczka studied at Columbia College and joins the faculty of IAFT after several years as a production sound mixer.
He has worked on a number of projects including Fear Factor Home Invasion for Tri Crown Productions and the reality show Wrecked on Fox Cable Networks.
James also served as Sound Mixer on Last Cup: Road To The World Series of Beer Pong and co-produced Memoirs Of Don Walker, awarded Best Thriller at the New York International Independent Film & Video Festival.

Certificate Program in Sound Design

The 18-week Certificate Program in Sound Design is designed to cover all elements of sound for film.

Covering production recording to the final 5.1 mix-down, the program allows students in the program to work on real film projects and have access to Bigfoot Studios’ professional ADR, Foley and Dolby Mix Theatre.

The Certificate Program in Sound Design is a lock step program; Students meet Monday through Friday from 10am to 12pm for theory classes with scheduled lab hours in the afternoons and evenings.

In the first term students will work production for a variety of thesis films including a 16mm film project. Students will be responsible for recording actor dialog and capturing wild sound effects to be used later in the post-production stage.

During the second term students will focus on the post production process, including dialog replacement, sound effects and mixing.
