Make your own short film in just a few weeks! In this intensive three-week session, learn the basics of filmmaking: screenwriting, producing, directing, shooting and editing.
You will work in small teams and realize their film concepts using IAFT’s state-of- the-art equipment and facilities. By the end of the session, you will have achieved your own non-synch-sound short film, as well as a group synch-sound project.
While learning cinema technology using the P2, the F900 and the new Red Camera and the difference between low-res and hi-definition shooting, you will also spend time comparing hi-def formats and learning the special functions for each camera.
By the end of the workshop, you will cut together footage shot in class to create a mini-reel.
Learn the basics of 3-D Animation using Maya.
Student will cover the fundamentals of modeling, texture, lighting and motion in this intense one-week class.
Learn film editing with the software that professionals use.
This intensive class teaches the basic rules of traditional editing and offers editing tips and tricks.
Create and enhance breathtaking visuals by learning the fundamentals of Photoshop, the industry standard for photo enhancement and retouching.
This documentary filmmaking class teaches the basics of making a short documentary and how to effectively pitch your documentary to film festivals and broadcast networks.
Each class has a special topic, including ghost hunting, environmentalism, travel journalism, ethnographic filmmaking and nature documentaries.
