The IB Film Studies teacher will teach IB Film and Advanced Film to Juniors and Seniors.  Additional assignments include sections of Broadcast Journalism and Creative Writing.  This is a full time position.  Applications will be reviewed until the position is filled.  The start date for this position will be on or before March 1st, 2012.

The successful applicant is expected to have the following skills, abilities, knowledge and experience:

•     Deep understanding of Film Studies theory and practice
•     Knowledge and skill in technical aspects of Film Studies
•     Knowledge and skill in guiding students in artistic impression through Film Studies
•     Knowledge and understanding of integrating technology into the curriculum
•     A sound understanding of differentiation
•     An understanding of how students learn through guided inquiry within performing arts
•     At least 2 years successful experience as a Film Studies teacher preferred
•     Experience working with ESOL students preferred
•     IB MYP experience preferred
•     Completed Introductory IB MYP / DP course preferred
•     Classroom experience and/or teacher certification preferred.
